About The Trail
Surprise yourself in a region, which offers superb wilderness coastline, world-class seafood, contrasting landscapes and unique experiences. Top this off with another extraordinary experience, a self-drive trail - Australia's Seafood & Aquaculture Trail.

This truly unique experience, believed to be the only one of its type in Australia, showcases seafood, aquaculture and dining experiences of the region. Highlights include southern bluefin tuna, abalone, oyster, prawns, scallops and murray cod being farmed and processed.

Observe southern bluefin tuna that can be worth as much as $5,000 a fish, the prized King George whiting easy to find and catch here.

Tastings of oysters, a variety of smoked and pickled fish/shellfish and opportunities to purchase a fresh ocean catch after the tour.

The seafood industry is a key economic factor for Eyre Peninsula as it produces over 65% of the State's seafood and employs directly and indirectly over 1,800 people.

There are eight tours available on the Seafood & Aquaculture Trail stretching from Whyalla to Ceduna along the pristine coastline of Eyre Peninsula.

For further information about each attraction read on or contact an Eyre Peninsula Visitor Information Centre or phone 1800 067 739.
