ABALONE FARM TOURS
Visit this unique land based abalone farm and
observe the commercial development of farming
green and black lip abalone.
This form of aquaculture is a rapidly growing
resource for supply to the insatiable Asian
seafood markets.
You will learn about breeding patterns, life
cycles, dietary requirements and optimum feeding
practices for commercially farmed abalone. This
unique pilot model is the only South Australian
farm known to be open to the touring public.

EVANS OYSTER
SHED TOUR
When you eat an oyster have you ever wondered
where it came from? Well wonder no more.
Come and visit our working oyster shed that
includes a demonstration of a fully automated
grading system that has been designed and
manufactured in Australia. See the oyster punt
that we use to work our lease and
learn about the life-cycle of oysters.
You also get to taste a delicious natural
Streaky Bay oyster. Whole oysters are available
for sale at the conclusion of the tour, in
season.
